Experience
Chemistry is my favorite subject to tutor but I also help with math. I earned a PhD in Chemistry, and focused my studies on electrochemistry, while at Binghamton University, and have since worked as Postdoctoral Associate at the Materials Science Department at Cornell University. I also work at the National Institute of Standards and Technology as a Guest Scientist. My education (which also includes my studies at SUNY College at Potsdam) and work experience more than qualifies me to help students who struggle with chemistry concepts. I have taught students for four-and-a-half years. In my tutoring, I use example problems and explain concepts using terminology the student probably hasn't heard before. In my point of view, education is extremely important. I think it is absolutely necessary for any person to have a more fulfilling life. This is what I try to get every student to appreciate. Even if they think they'll never master a concept or subject, all it usually takes is some one on one tutoring to figure out what's trouble them the most. The location I am based in now is Gaithersburg, Maryland and I enjoy my interests of reading, movies, and football in my spare time.
