I am a junior Nursing student at Azusa Pacific University. My Highschool GPA was 4.2 and I received the academic full tuition scholarship at APU. My current GPA is 3.7 and I am in the Honors Program.
Experience
I tutored for 3 years, starting junior year of high school and continuing into my first year at APU. In that time I had 5 students focusing primarily on math though I helped them in other subjects. Math was my favorite subject in high school and I tutored Pre Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry. I excel at math and took Pre Calculus my sophomore year high school. At that point I stopped taking math classes and began tutoring. I have not taken a math course in college because I scored high enough on my SAT to place out of math. I really enjoy tutoring because everyone learns differently and most of the time the classroom cannot accommodate that. However tutors can! I enjoy learning how the student best learns as well as introducing them to new forms of learning. I also enjoy empowering students in the subjects they often feel a sense of failure from. I also just love people and being of assistance in whatever way I can. Education is very important to me and I feel confident in my ability to help your student reach their full potential.
